Lady Pack win the 7th/8th Grade Girls State Championship

After a season where they went 14-0, Lady Pack went into the Semi Finals against versus Linn Benton. After a well deserved win, they went onto the Championship Game against Lady Liberty from Seattle. To start the game, Lady Pack brought with them an amended version of the Battleground War Cry

In case you were wondering what the team were chanting in the pre-game huddle.
Repeated a few times:
Olivia: Power of the Wolf. Team: Strength of the Pack.

Olivia: Defense. Team: Lady Pack.

The War Cry. It is something our club has done at all levels from Youth to High School through to the Men’s team. It has been done since the first high school team was formed 14 years ago by a South African, Andre DeKlerk . The language is Khoza (a South African indigenous language). The rough translation is as follows:

Ah-weena-peek-ahneeny = Hello little children (very insulting to Khoza warriors)

Loom-kalalum-plunjay = You are privileged to be on our field, but be careful

Dah-goo-bay-tah = For today we will beat you without mercy

Lady Pack went on to win the final in a convincing fashion.
