High School Boys JV
Focus
We now begin more emphasis on strategy of play and knowledge of the game. Set pieces are even more strategic with more complete game plans and decision making expected on the field included more expertise in each position. We are still teaching fundamentals and introducing newcomers to the game of rugby.
The JV team is sometimes mixed with Varsity depending on numbers and sometimes skills. Coaches always lookout for the safety of younger players as they develop.
The competitive season completes with state championship playoffs. Athletes have many opportunities to improve their game and talents on the pitch. The skills gained here and the effort they put in continues to grow student athletes understanding, expertise, and love for the game. These experiences also introduce them to coaches throughout the region to create both college and career opportunities for Rugby.
